Sunday Suck Ups

August 24, 2008

Here we are, already a week away from the very first Sunday Suck Up. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, I explained last week here. In short (which I’m not very good at), I decided to link to some of my favorite blogs on Sundays, just to give a shout out to some great writers in the blogosphere. Because it’s fun. And like Kelly of orange ya glad i didn’t say jello said last week, I gave her “virtual warm fuzzies” when spotlighting her site. And that my friends, is my goal.

I am finding it QUITE difficult to choose. I’m so glad Sundays don’t run out, and come once a week.

I will suck up NOW:

Superfluous; a little something extra
Sabrina keeps me feeling hip. Because as she chronicles her daily adventures with hilarity and insight, she throws in a little pop culture here and there, keeping a clueless girl like me informed. I was introduced to her through cousin, Kelly right here in cyber-space and now have the honor of a real-life friendship. This sweet lady is a gift to the world, with her positive approach to life and silly wit. Add her to your reader and get a little dose of light on a daily basis. While there, don’t be confused by puke vs. meow. Puke = BAD and MEOW = GOOD.
For example, Superfluous = Meow

Temporary?Insanity
Kimberly is writing a book for a reason. She’s gifted with an intelligent and poignant style of writing. She’s charming and funny. She looks at life and family with a depth of insight that is rare and refreshing. She’ll say it like it is and leave you thinking and grabbing for the nearest piece of paper to write down a bit of wisdom from her posts. You might find yourself giggling and crying all at the same time. So many things she has to say speak to the human spirit and leave you waiting expectantly for the words Temporary?Insanity to pop up on your reader again. Yes, it’s that good. Trust me.

(Please bear with me as I slowly make the changes to the blog! I’ll get the blogroll and all that good stuff up as soon as I can.
I have to thank Kimberly of Temporary?Insanity for helping me and answering a million questions! K-I promise I’m not sucking up simply because you helped me! Believe it or not, I had this post written before you spent all this time teaching me! But now I do have all the more reason to talk you up. Thank you for being so generous with your time and patient with a slow learner. I appreciate it more than you know-H)

First me and then Sabrina! Our family bloggers run out, um, now! :-) I love bringing people together from cyber space to a lovely patio night in Robinsdale sipping chicken dinner.

Great idea, Heather.

And I haven’t checked out Superfluous yet, but I LOVE Temporary?Insanity! Good choice.

And holy cow —
I take a little vacation breather and you have a whole new look! Wow!

One more reason to love Kimberly, eh?

Do I need you to give me great new blogs to read?!? Stop it. You’re killing me here.

So much wonderfulness. I need more hours in my day.

Hi Heather, loved your Sunday Suck Ups! Thanks for commenting on Killing an Fly and saying such nice things – I’m not on Bloggers Annex – do you think the Annex and I would work for each other?

Good grief woman, are you trying to make me cry?! Looking fab in here – and I suggest playing with Bloggers new “Add Gadget” feature. They have a really cool subscribe one, and a nifty blog roll tool that I’m just loving.
