naming

May 20, 2011

If the weather is perfect for sitting outside at night around a fire making s’mores, then it’s pretty perfect, huh?

I will call this photo “MMMMgooooo”

This one? “Happy”

This one?  “Who Cares About S’mores Just Look at Those Lashes”

Lastly, I am calling this photo “Peek-aaaah-BOOM”

By the way, this baby girl is very very busy at certain times of the day. She takes a spin class, I swear. I had a dream last night that she was about one and she was all.over.the.place.  We’ll see…

Last night when we were eating s’mores, I turned to Ryan and said a first and middle name for our girl. It felt like The One.  He thought so too. We’ve known for a long time that we like a few names, but we were having trouble feeling sure. We still won’t feel entirely sure until we see her, but I think we’re almost there.

Literally and figuratively.

And no, it’s not S’more Peek-aaaah-BOOM, although that would be an excellent name.

Have a good weekend, friends.

Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm !!!

I hear ya,, I could not “officially” name any of my four children until I saw their angelic little face. Instantly upon seeing them, they told me what their names were

Wish it weren’t supposed to rain tonight – a bon fire sounds SPECTACULAR! We have a pond near ours and this time of year it is fun to light the bonfire at dusk and watch the “bat show” – these creepy flying rats swoop up and down, doing acrobatics for their audience all the while in search of the perfect bug……..

As I write this I am enjoying the orchestra playing outside – crickets, frogs, ducks and birds.
YOU have an extraordinary day! So anxious to meet her!!

Dawn,

I must admit that swooping bats would TOTALLY freak me out and make s’more eating difficult for me. Am phobic.

But the orchestra? That. Is perfect.

Yep. Gotta see ’em. We changed our minds both times once they popped out. :)

I’m more than just a little bit jealous that you agree on a name! We have ONE option and neither of us are 100% sold on it. I don’t want to settle. I want to LOVE her name. I want it to suit her. (I’m with you – I have to see them to KNOW it’s the right name.)

Getting SOOOOOO close to the end! Crazy how fast the final weeks go isn’t it?

Darn…we have to wait to hear the name. Boo!

Sarah May 20, 2011 at 3:07 pm

The first picture and the last picture are just perfect. And everything in between is just sugar. Sweet brown sugar. Can’t wait to see the name, see the face, see all the little fingers and all the little toes and hear the glee in your words as you swoon for your new little girl.

Almost there!

I love that you found the perfect name.

I am now experiencing a deep craving for s’mores (and I’m not even pregnant)

I just can’t believe you said a name and he AGREED. That never happened in this house! Baby naming was the hardest thing! Here’s to being united!

This is such a sweet gooey post. I love it. And uh, remember me? Remember when we met? This way through comment boxes and stuff like that. And now you’re my friend and I love you sister and I love these pictures of your life. And I’m floating above the world right now on a plane and thinking of you. And this new baby girl life of yours.

Miss ya….
