Some things I love about eating out are:
eating food I didn’t have to make that’s super yummy.
being with people I love to be with while I eat the super yummy food.
relaxing.
chatting it up.
looking around at all the other people and wondering about them.
the ambiance.
the sounds.
the smells.
the drinks.
The list goes on, but I’ll stop there. I just love it. I LOVE to eat out. I don’t do it as much as I used to, but this is what I would rather do than anything else on an evening out with friends or family. I’ve gotten to go out TWO times this week. I met up with Kelly, Sabrina and Sara on Thursday. It was so good to see them and talk Christmas, eat good food and laugh. Thanks for the invite ladies! I like Bon Xai (did I spell that right?), it’s another good place for me to frequent. And you can’t get better than the company, you just can’t – sweet girls.
Then last night I met Kim at one of my favs, Pepitos and talked pregnancy/baby issues. She’s due in three weeks! I can’t wait. Another surprise gender baby – can’t stand the suspense.
I’m so thankful for these nights out, they keep me sane. Nowadays I get home about 8pm from these “nights out” and I’m tired as if it were 2a.m. like the old days. Last night I got home and Asher was up (of course) and Ryan had been trying to get him to sleep. He fights it A LOT now, so I swaddled him and laid down next to him on the bed to pretend like we were just hanging out. Well, my trick worked and both of us fell fast asleep, sideways on the bed, cuddled together. We woke up at 11:10pm, I put Asher in his own bed, and I got back into mine. It was great. Good night.
Miles is obsessed with the movie “Toy Story.” He got it for Christmas and he has watched it about five times already. If he isn’t watching it, he’s pretending to play with Buzz and Woody. He just got up from his nap and was talking to a “cowboy” in his room. “Grab that truck, cowboy!” It’s too cute. We haven’t seen anything like this since Curious George came on the scene. I hope we’re not done with George, he’s still my favorite.
The addition to our basement is nearly finished so we’ve been able to move some furniture and toys down there. That clears up space upstairs and there are less toys to trip over. I love it! And Miles and Ryan have had fun playing ping pong down there.
I can’t believe the year is nearly over. Time is truly marching very quickly on. One thing I like about New Year’s is the mystery it holds. You just never know what the next year may bring.
