Oh, what a lovely little memory recorded for posterity! Those two are just too cute! I love how Asher tried to help. My kids are all so far apart, they never really have had a chance to be “buds”.
Amazing! I have no idea if Oliver could do this… Aside from the fact that I have to fight to put on clothes, let alone dress himself, he refuses to wear shirts that involve buttons.
That is just precious! Hooray that he got it. I love that you have this all down on camera. And all your pictures turned out so nice! What kind of camera do you have?

The Tongginator still cannot button or unbutton. Their fine motor skills are stellar! (especially for boys)
ah, such perseverance and patience… some days it really can take an entire morning to button a shirt.
What a treasure! I wish we had had blogs when I was parenting small kids. This is priceless, and I’m glad you’ll always have it to remember.

That’s pretty good. I wonder if my 8 y.o. can button up a shirt…he lives in tee shirts. Love that their best buds.

Quite the accomplishment for the little guy–you could tell he tried SO hard.
Hooray for him!!!!! Good job!
Learning to button is a very prideful event. :)
awesome! what a good lesson to learn.
What a huge accomplishment!
Good perseverance Mr. Miles!
Aww, so precious! I love that little “bwuddah” tried to help!
and he even got all of them in the right holes? brilliant kiddo!
So cute…I love that pose!
Super sweet…
Wow! What concentration! What effort! What charm!
Good for him! I’m glad he finally got it!
Dedication. Determination. Impressive.
Hey, I see something on your sidebar…
Thank you!!
Very cute story board there! I need to take more pictures!
Ha, ha! I like this story WAY better than the one about that stupid blue choo choo.
Yeah! Perserverence at it’s best (and spelling at its worst!)
So precious!
Pretty cool that you thought to get pictures of this. Incredibly cool that he did it! Buttoning is hard stuff! And I love his GQ pose.
Some days I can barely button myself. Good job, Myles! You are one talented little dude (not to mention cute and hilarious)!
I love picture stories–especially when the pictures are so cute!!
awesome – buttons are a hard one to tackle
Yeay Miles! You rock!
So adorably, ridiculously cute. The pose he struck KILLS me!
The pose is classic. And totally deserved. Those buttons are tricky!
Delightful! :) I LOVE that last pic.
Oh how I love when they get all proud!! He looks so handsome.
It’s something I have to continuously work on, for me. Allowing them to do it themselves, even though we are usually in a hurry.
I know one day when my Oldest is 16 and still cannot tie his shoes, I will only be able to blame myself! E
(I’m so getting that book that you talked about at the MWOB – I swear that stuff happened!! And sadly, so much more.)
Pitch perfect post. loved it.
That last photo says it all! What a character. Love that kid. He needs to meet his “Aunt Debbie” in person:)
Success! Will you be taking pictures when he learns to tie his shoes? LOL
Love it!
That last pose is just killer. He will break hearts some day, that one.
Love the last pose it’s like Hugh Grant meets Michael C. Hall…
