You take pictures in a mirror…
and then you try to capture your child in the shot
while hoping it will look artsy…
while playing peek-a-boo…
and standing on the toilet,
totally confusing said artsy shot child.
totally confusing said artsy shot child.
The End.

You are so right! Anything in the name of the blog!
Visited from Twitter.
now that's dedication!
You are ridiculous! And funny. And I've so done that. Wait. What am I saying? LOL!
Cute! and I didn't know you wore glasses.
You are very…..creative ;)
Love the look on his face in that last shot! You crack me up!
You mean everyone doesn't do that?
I'm with Kelly – I thought this was how everyone passed a little down time. Hmmmm. Need to re-examine my thoughts on normal . . .
You are TOO CUTE by the way.
Look at adorable YOU!! :)I do this ALL the stinking time…
Hysterical! And you both look so cute!
hilarious!
So the crooked, second to the last shot was totally artsy…I am jealous
Any excuse to see that little angel face is fine by me – artsy or otherwise.
P.S. where did you get those jeans?! Cute.
That was so cute and his expression was really funny!
You're so cute! Are you wearing glasses? I love them. I'm usually wearing pajamas when I give my kids a bath. Not very artistic:)
I love Asher's face!
lol do you know how many pics I have of myself standing on a toilet, lol! Oh and his face is just adorable!
I love that I can see the confusion on Asher's face, "What the heck is my mom doing on the toilet?"
Em- You're going to want to kick me, but to answer your question, those are my free Gap jeans from BlogHer. Yes, I said FREE jeans.
Elizabeth – yes, I'm wearing glasses. I wear them TOO rarely. I should be wearing them all the time, but I just don't. I'm too scattered to keep track of them.
The jeans ARE super cute! Loved this post!!
Yep, you're a blogger all right. :)
You know you're a blogger when you're half way through cleaning up a ginormous mess only to realize you forgot the photos… so you dump it all out again just to get the photos.
Totally artsy, btw!
AND you know you're a blogger when you have notes all over your house with thoughts for posts jotted on them. And you have no idea what they mean.
The confusion in the last picture is priceless. That's more or less the look I get from my toddler all day long.
Ok, you TOTALLY threw me for a loop. In the second pic, I didn't notice the munchkin in the background…and just saw a shot of your midsection…and I thought we were getting a Major Announcement. False alarm. HAHAHA.
Aunt LoLo,
I actually thought that myself, looking at the pic. No, I didn't fool myself, but I thought that it looked like I'm pregnant. Nope, I'm not. I just love eating :)
I hate when I catch myself about to say, "That's going in the blog."….I'm like…what DO my friends and family think of me? And then I play it off and say it's all in the name of memories. Yeah. Right.
Tooj,
I know! Now when Miles has a friend over and I take their picture HE tells them that the picture is going on the blog. hmmmm….don't know where he got that.
Yup, you are so a blogger but a darn cute on at that.
So true. I see things and think about how I can incorporate them into blog fodder. Every picture equals potential blog posts. Love it.
You are very talented…I love your child's expression in the last shot!
it's like "Seriously, Mom!"
My husband is starting to expect that motive for all my pictures is for the 'blog' …. ???
Not so … I have a life …. I think?
I love all your pictures. I seriously want your camera too. And your bathroom is beautiful, by the way!
Sadly, I'm not a blogger then. I've finally learned how to do this, but I keep forgetting that blog readers LIKE pictures with their stories.
And seriously, the baby in the 2nd picture looks…um…unsupervised in a water environment…
But, yes, overall it's a very artsy picture. And it's such a relief to see that the baby is alive and well!
guess i am NOT a blogger, but you TOTALLY are!!
DeNae,
Since I was trying to get a photo of him, I did have my eyes on him. Since it's a mirror, I could see him :)
He was simply moving from one position to another. SO yes, he's alive and well.
Sheryl,
Of course you're a blogger. This is just one aspect in MY blog life that I think is funny. Taking random pictures here and there…
I love the next to last picture :D My bathroom is set up that way to get any mirror photos. Hmmm, maybe a new mirror for my birthday present. Hubby asked me what I want….
Oh the things we will do just to try to capture that perfect shot! HA! That look on his face in the last one is pretty priceless!
Oh I am so guilty of making everything into a blog post. i have HUNDREDS of posts rolling around in my head right now, as a matter of fact. (on that must be written tonite too…my love affair with Anthony from the Wiggles. LOL)
Yes, I think you have all the symptoms!
wait~! what's this about free jeans from blogher???
i didnt get any stinkin' free jeans! when/where was this?
Deb,
I'm sorry to tell you this, but while you and Lee slept or something, Kim brought me to a suite. The suite held some t-shirts and coupons for free gap jeans. I would have NEVER known the suite was there, but Kim knew this stuff. Next year, you'll have to follow her around. :)
Oh my goodness Heather.. you don't even know :) Just yesterday Fynn's feet were sticking out of the tub in a very blog worthy type of way, and I ran to get the camera, and was so upset when he wouldn't do it again!
It's an addiction.. cute pictures :)
Did you clean your mirror before taking these pictures? I can't decide if cleaning the mirror or NOT cleaning the mirror would make you "more" of a blogger.
Very cute!
Great and funny series! Thanks for sharing
… bloggers also take pictures of their dinner as they are creating them, and then they carry their dinner plate into the natural light in the sunroom to take a picture of their culinary creation (which typically winds up soft-focus anyway).
Cute free jeans…. cute picture… cute Asher with a puzzled look on his face.
LOL, the poor baby is already embarrassed!
SO FUNNY. This reminds me of the Plugger cartoons in the newspaper.
You know you're a blogger when you have to refer to your "blogger friends" as just that…air quotes and all.
The song Ordinary Miracle was playing today and I thought of you over and over again. If you blog had a theme song, I'd nominate that one.
Blessings,
Carolynn
being #51 sux… all the good comments are taken
so how about:
The hard-deck for this hop was 10,000 feet. You knew it. You broke it.
You're right – I could give you a good wallop. But I'll resist.
But I'm ready to…fall…in…to…the…Gap.
And if you don't remember those commercials, I have a good smack for you too, whippersnapper.
I love this post. The end.
I don't have a full-length mirror in my house, so I have been known to stand on a toilet or two to get a good view.
I must be a blogger!
It's perfect.
Steph
Haha…I have the same type of pictures. I thought I was the only one…obviously we're all crazy! :)
Oh, so true! I've done the same thing! Haha! BTW–that picture of you on Beth's blog is Gorgeous with a capital G!
You are cracking me up! Love the standing on the toilet. I'm so happy you remembered to put the lid down.
This is so great! :-) Cute kiddo!
Cute jeans. Precious baby. Funny picture. And, I got my CD, so we've been singing in the car. What kind of cat stands on the toilet to take a picture? A blogcat!
Thanks so much!
Janet
You are too cute! See you Friday WW!!!!
Friggin adorable. Look at his face? "WTF? Mom? Why are you up there?" lol
You look adorabibble. I hear you're gettin' company, you lucky duck. Wish it were me visiting you.
BTW, what the heck is up with the "unsupervised" comment. Seriously? How is he unsupervised if she's looking at him in the mirror while he's a foot or so away? Geez, lighten up!
Amen sister!
Cuteness!! I love baby bathtub pictures!! Even if it's not my baby:)
p.s. you are adorable!!!! and I envy the cleanliness of your mirror:)
LOL – I have SO been there.
Well, not there EXACTLY,
but "there" there.
too funny and I too think about when a moment would be a good shot for the blog!
Fun. And cute.
I hope you see comments on older posts, because I have a tip for mirror-photo-taking: Hold the camera up and to the side of you, and then aim it so that you are looking right into the reflection of the camera, or anyway so that the reflection of the camera is aimed at the real (non-reflected) you. It works great. I mean, it will still look like a photo taken in a mirror, but the camera won't be obscuring your face.
