30 weeks

30 weeks

This photo is deceiving, really. I’m wearing a shirt over a shirt and the shirt over the other shirt is disguising where the back of my body begins. When I don’t have a shirt over a shirt, people say…

Any day now, huh?

Then I say, Any month now, actually! The end of June…heh.

Then comes the confused gawking and stuttering, How can that be?

Ryan and I have taken to calling the belly The Torpedo. It just shoots right out of my body and my belly button completes its pointed look.

I’m a mom, this is what we do. We do things that change our bodies and exhaust us and there is so much torpedo-love involved. (But I will admit I walk all funny around the house saying OUCH a lot while voicing many other complaints.)

I guess I’m just weary and waiting, waiting to not be so weary, even though I know that may never happen. Life is weary-making. And the dog throws up on the rug and the basement floods with water if your small boys put things down the sump pump hole. It’s just life.

It just keeps going like my torpedo belly. Good thing they both bring such good things while they ouch sometimes.

:::::

I just want to thank you HUGE after my last post. That post will probably be held dearest to me always, so it means a lot that you witnessed it and then shared it so much. Thank you.

Walking all funny around the house saying OUCH a lot is another thing we mothers do. You made it sound like it wasn’t. :P That is a very impressive tummy. Pretty sure that little girl will be impressive, too. Hang in there, Heather!! <3

Yes! Life is exactly like a torpedo and so is motherhood.

But you are a cute torpedo there Heather! :)

You look adorable. And how are you 30 weeks already?! Holy cow!

I never got to torpedo properly, and I’ve always kind of wanted to.

Next time, perhaps. And hopefully, next time will be soon. And hopefully, the next 10 weeks will somehow FLY. And have chocolate in them.

That is how I am with every pregnancy. People think I am having the baby at any given moment from about 30ish weeks on. Then they see me at 38 weeks and they about fall over from shock.

It is amazing how our bodies can and do grow and change to accommodate another living human, and then give birth to that person who is forever part of us.

You are the cutest torpedo I know. AND, you will have a package being sent to you TOMORROW!

xoxo

Although I’m sure you don’t feel it at the moment, I think you look beautiful. There’s something amazing about a pregnant belly. I remember laying in bed and watching whoever was in there rolling and kicking. And while yes, I hated the many bathroom trips and ever presence nudging on my ribcage.. I loved it.

And with my 3rd baby? I was in maternity clothes before I was 10 weeks pregnant. I was ginormous!

You’re one of those annoying people who look cute when pregnant I see…hmmm.

Seriously, so excited for you and yours! Come on, June!

I love this post (and I LOVED the last one – beautiful). Your belly is just lovely. I’m 27 weeks and people KEEP telling me how HUGE I am. I am so tired of it. It was nice to see a real pregnant person, with real person thoughts.
Thanks for sharing.

OH I love that belly!

Jess April 19, 2011 at 9:34 am

Oh my goodness, that brings back memories because that is exactly what my belly looked and felt like with my third! It does get better. REally. Baby-weary is nothing compared to prego-weary :-)

I always loved how pregnancy seemed to defy what my body should be able to do. My third was a serious shelf, I wince looking back, but oh that magic!

May the next little while be gentle.

You look beautiful my dear! I’m only 4 weeks behind you. I get comments ranging from “I didn’t even realize you were pregnant” to “you must be due any day”. That guy was a little embarrassed when I proudly stated that I have 3 months to go.

I think your torpedo belly is absolutely gorgeous, just as you are, inside and out. Love you!

You, my friend, are one HOTT mama! :) I think your torpedo belly is beautiful and amazing and wonderful as is the little sweetie you are carrying inside.

I love that torpedo belly! It’s seriously one of the most amazing ones I’ve ever seen! Like that little girl isn’t all curled up – she’s all stretched out from your back to your belly! what a miracle huh?
