*in my humble opinion
It’s cold, even in Austin. Every day I stand in my closet and wonder why I only have one throw-over-what-you’re-wearing-comfortable-and-adorable sweater.
Today I asked my friends on Facebook to point me in the direction of their most favorite throw-on sweaters. I love a cozy wrap or cardigan for layering, and of course, my Facebook friends came through.
So I give you (and my pocket book weeps)…the best comfortable and cozy cardigan, pull-over or wrap style throw-on sweaters:
(from top, going left to right)
1. H&M Boucle Cardigan
2. Sundance Falling For You Pullover
3. Vintage Glam Winter Why Not Cardigan
4. Land’s End Women’s Vintage Blend Zip Cardigan
5. Vintage Glam Crossing Paths Cardigan
6. Nordstrom Bobeau Asymmetrical Flece Wrap Cardigan
7. Sundance Spring Blooms Cardigan
8. Express Striped Cover-Up
9. BCBG Beret Color-Blocked Cardigan Wrap
Feel free to add your favorite cozy sweater link in the comments! (I will thank you while my pocket book weeps some more.)
and keep coming back because the Facebook suggestions keep rolling in. For instance, THIS amazing deal from J Jill! (Cashmere Cardigan)
and this one from sheinside called the Apricot Hooded Long Sleeve Cardigan

Sweaters are my happy place. This could be dangerous.

I didn’t know you were in Austin! These temp swings are just killing me. When it’s gorgeous I have SOO much energy and am doing things left and right and outside and happy, and then comes the cold and I just can’t take it. And I’m from the north! I guess the one plus is getting to hang out in sweatpants and such, but 33 weeks of pregnancy doesn’t leave me too many clothing options. :/ Luckily cozy sweaters always, always work!

Heather, I found the BEST hundred year old, three ply cashmere, Scottish knit cardigan. It’s forest green with red button plackets and the buttons are so shiny they look brand new-they don’t make ’em like that anymore. It was at the local Salvation Army or Goodwill or second-hand store run by the local church but the most important factor: the price: $5 PLUS 20% off on account of I’M OLD !~! Don’t’cha love being over 55 FINALLY ?~! So the asymetrical sweaters that are so IN right now are also in the second hand stores for pennies on the dollar what you spend at the new stores AND you can get kid books for nickels too. Brand new ones are a quarter. Thrifting made the front page of the Wall St Journal a few years ago so don’t feel like you’re too cool for school to shop like that. All the smart but broke folks are doing it with bells on.
