with the hands
to roll and string
and gather and process and prepare
so we can help
Thank you, thank you, thank you Bead for Life…

~~~~~
Because our goal with this Gifts for Life gift guide is to support the wonderful cause of Bead for Life, we have made it possible for you to increase your entries (and odds of winning!) by doing a couple of things:
1) Buy jewelry at the Bead for Life store and earn ONE ADDITIONAL COMMENT for every $10 spent (or donated) on ONE GIVEAWAY (not one additional entry on each giveaway or more than one).
2) Registering to host a Bead for Life Bead Party earns you FIVE (5) ADDITIONAL COMMENT entries in Gifts for Life giveaways.
These are simply options for extra entries to win, they are not required to enter the Bead for Life giveaway. Still have a question about extra entries? Check out the full details here.
This giveaway (and all other Gifts for Life giveaways both here and at O My Family from this week) closes at 10:00pm CST Sunday December 5th. The winner will be announced the following day.
If you happen to have them in your pocket, you can use your extra entries on today’s or any of the giveaways from this week. Please leave a separate comment for each $10 spent/donated. But keep in mind all your extra entries must be used on ONE giveaway of your choice, not separated.
what a great giveaway, and a great cause, I am going shopping at their site right away.
Heather, I have some Ugandan paper bead jewelry that I adore that I bought to support Feed My Starving Children. They are some of my favorite necklaces I own.
I've bookmarked the party info and plan on talking to my sister and aunt about it in the next few weeks.
Thanks for helping me learn about such a great program!
very nice!
I can over from Allison's blog. Absolutely beautiful jewelry. I might have to buy some even if I don't win :)
Those are all so beautiful. I am hoping by next Christmas to only shop fair trade for gifts, so thank-you for another good source to shop from.
Love that you're doing this. I love the idea of "microfinance" – where my little-bit of available donation can make a real difference.
Wow, that's amazing! Such a wonderful cause! Thank you for doing this!
such a cool giveaway. you should be really proud of yourself for making this happen!
What a fantastic giveaway. Love the series, Heather!
Love love love!
I have visited their website in the past, very cute products. I'm going to forward their website to family and friends too! Thanks!
I posted yesterday that items I purchased from beadsforlife. I visited the site 3 times since Wednesday before making a purchase because I loved everything and couldn't make up my mind! I'm loving the Madaala necklace. What an awesome organization.
Wow. What a great opportunity to spread the word by gifting each of these things to the special people in our lives! I bought a beaded necklace awhile back when "Moments with Love" was raising money to adopt their son. Since then, I've had so many people ask me where it is from. Anyway, my 8 year-old wants to host a mother/daughter party once we make some friends here (we just moved with the Air Force). I can't wait to spread the love of the women from Uganda. Thank you for a fun week!
WOW!! I LOVE my Uganda paper bead necklace and would LOVE to have more!!! :)
Wow. Wow! Beautiful idea, beautiful people, beautiful products!
That is amazing! So much stuff!
My head just exploded like the heads of the guest on the SNL spoof on Oprah's favorite things.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!
It's that good folks.
Oh my goodness! Who wouldn't love to win this? I can already imagine all the gift giving opportunities as well as some goodies for myself.
Bead me up lady!
This is SUCH a wonderful thing you are doing! And what a great cause! My sister is into beading as well as the idea of fair trade, and decent wages and helping the less fortunate. I turned this over to her and she is positively in love. I'm sure Bead for Life has a life long customer in her :)
Oh, and this would all make a WONDERFUL gift for her :)
I have been reading all the other posts about The Bead For Life project, but havne't commented or entered any of the giveaways-until now, because these? Are all SO gorgeous, and think of the gift giving possibilities!
I just spent $85 in their store. Do I need to leave six more comments? Okay…
I'm not sure where my first comment went but it said that I was having trouble deciding what to buy since there are SO many great products. Now off to leave the rest of my comments. I'll just tell you what I bought… :)
I bought a 3-bead bracelet in blue for a teacher gift.
I bought ANOTHER 3-bead bracelet for ANOTHER teacher gift! :)
I bought my Mom a 5 strand necklace in green. It's going to look FABULOUS on her!
I also like the Katogo necklaces bracelets…
I ate some really good dark chocolate today (can you tell I'm running out of things to say?)
Tired of my picture yet?
