I’m home safe and sound. Or rather, I’m at my parent’s home safe and sound, currently.
After 2 flights and a 2 hour drive home from the airport, I pulled in the driveway last night and wondered how in the world I was going to carry my bags inside the house…in my condition. My condition = utterly exhausted.
I have so much to say. I can’t even begin to decide how to narrow it down. For now, I’ll just show you a group of some of my favorite people. We visited The LDS temple in Salt Lake City, taking a break from the Casual Blogger Conference to see some sites.
*
Then I made everyone leave right after we arrived because I was all paranoid I was going to be late for my keynote.
Yes. I read one of my posts in front of everyone as a “keynote.” Who really knows what keynote means? Anyway. CJane was in my peripheral so I think I only looked up from my words twice to engage listeners (I learned you’re supposed to do that in Speech class in high school). Sorry, friends. I did want to see you, but I sort of was really totally and completely maybe nervous.
*These are the names of the people in the picture above. My parent’s computer refuses to allow me to move them up by the photo. Please forgive (or play a game where you try to match them up):
Just so I don’t forget, the conference and my experiences there had me thinking on a few specific topics: insecurity, ego, religion, etc. Yeah, I do have a lot to say, just not today because of that whole I can’t function thing. (And also because I’m totally distracted by gobbling up the goodness that is My Boys.)
Until next time…

I read somewhere than a trip is never complete till you`ve gone home and remembered it. That the memories are part of the overall journey. Enjoy them. It sounds like you`ve some sweet ones!
Eat up those boys! I hope you recover quickly. So glad you had such a good experience!
Welcome home, almost. Sounds like you have some really great posts in the vault. Congrats on your keynote. Amazing!
welcome home, friend. are you going to share your keynote post with the rest of us?
xo e.
Your "speech" was great…and I loved getting to meet you in person afterward. I'm happy to have found you. I LOVE your header.
Heather, I was married in that temple 23 years ago! I am glad you got to go see it, since it is the real icon of Utah.
Rest and gobble up those boys!
Sorry- that above commetn was from me. Hubby hadn't signed out. :)
I have to tell you, that post you read was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard. I was completely mesmerized. And then I realized I was on a panel with the world's most eloquent and lovely writer ever, and so what you say about insecurity? Hello!
I really wish I'd had more time to chat with you this weekend. Next time I am in the same state as you I will steal you and hog you all to myself. It was really and truly lovely to meet you and be in the same room as you.
Reading about your experience has me itching to get back into my blogging. I've slacked during this pregnancy….I feel as if my bloggy brain, ideas, thoughts…etc…are just gone. Pregnancy does that to you I think.
Enjoy home like you enjoyed your conference. Without the exhaustion, of course.
I'm glad you had a fantastic time, and hope the recovery time is short! :)
What was your keynote post? I must know!!!
Oh LOVE!!!!
I love this and love you..
Can't wait till you can think again..
(p.s. will you send me a copy of this picture because I didnt take a single picture all weekend!!!)
I played a matching game with the names and the photo…but now my screen is all messed up from the ink I used to draw the lines. pfft.
Glad you had an exhausting time…cuz that means it was fantabulous fun! :)
Huggles,
Bina
Gobble up, and I look forward to hearing more about it when you're rested!
Can't wait to hear more. Your boys are too scrumptious not to gobble!
Glad you're home safe and lovin' on those boys but I hope to hear more. I'm sure you had such a wonderful time.
Your post was remarkable and I think my sister Lucy and I cried the entire way through.
And I've thought so much about it since.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for sharing.
I was married in that temple 23 years ago too!
I had such a wonderful time meeting you. And I'm dying to know which post you read. Please let me know so I can go back and reread it, imagining you speaking those words.
